This Kyusu teapot is made with borosilicate glass which has a strong resistance to thermal shock compared to ordinary glass. This stylistic octagon shape with a sea-wave texture makes the teapot unique and beautiful. The teapot is a stove-top, ceramic induction stove suitable for glass cookware safe. You may make tea directly on the stove or steep the tea in hot water. The teapot has a side handle and lid handle made with wood and included a removable infuser.  When you hold the handle while serving tea, please have the thumb press the lid knob to prevent the lid fall off from the teapot. Its really beautiful!

The pot is well made and functionally I have no complains but the sellers should do a better job is disclosing all the details. It said Japanese style so I was under the impression it was made in Japan but it is made in china. I am very interested in Japanese handcrafted items so this was a bit of a bummer for me. I will still use it but origin of a country matters to me. Thanks.
