The traditional gaiwan with a modern twist. A slightly bigger palm-size teapot and cup set. Let's make KungFu tea.  A handmade Jingdezhen ceramic teaware. This gaiwan set is in a modern stylish look. The pottery is glazed under high-temperature kiln change.  The set includes one handle-free teapot and a large cup. Two pieces can put together into one item when not in use. This gaiwan set has a larger volume on both the teapot and the cup compared to the traditional ones.  This quality handcrafted piece has two unique colours to choose from. We especially like the beige one as the shades of beige and browns make it unique and beautiful.

Pot: height 12cm, diameter 9cm (capacity 230ml)

Cup: height 11cm diameter 7.5cm (capacity 150ml)

The item is handmade and every piece has its own character and may have slightly different sizes, shapes and colours. Recommended hand wash with care. The price listed is for one set. Pictures shown are for illustration purposes only.

Delightful Teapot

The photographs here do not convey the fullness of how delightful this tea pot is. It came well packaged and fast in the post. I took my time to open it up and admire this wonderful teapot. I decided a nice Oriental Beauty tea would suit its first brew. The teapot looks wonderful with the leaves unfurling in the pot. The Gaiwan brewing method is easy and the lovely tea cup holds plenty of tea. There is a satisfying roundness to the cup which makes it nice to hold. I may have to purchase another in charcoal for my Puerh tea. I can imagine a nice ripe Puerh aroma rising from this teapot too.
