Hasami ware (波佐見焼, Hasami-yaki) is a type of Japanese pottery traditionally from Hasami, Nagasaki prefecture, Japan. Originally produced for common people, Hasami porcelain has a history of 400 years. Hasami ware now is famous for its craftsmanship, practicality and fashionable style. This tea set includes one teapot and two cups. The teapot comes with a stainless steel strainer which is convenient for brewing tea. The teapot capacity is just in the right amount to make a standard cup (240ml), or you could share the tea with a friend with the two small cups included. We love the smooth warped shape, the size and the practical design of the teapot. It is comfortable to hold the teapot lid knob and pour the tea easily with one hand. The cup also has a nice shape that is easy to hold. The set is great for its traditional craftsmanship incorporating modern style, each piece is carefully crafted in the kiln Kunzangama in Hasami, surrounded by nature.
There are two styles to choose from. The white porcelain with Dahlia pattern, and the peacock blue glazed with the fruit outline. Both are incredibly beautiful.
