Tsukechi Zen plate, gently adds the warmth of wood to the table. Producing excellent wood from ancient times, the plate is made In Tetsuchi Town, Nakatsugawa City, Gifu Prefecture, Japan. The place is well known as the sacred tree village of the Ise Jingu Shrine and it's made of cherry blossom wood in the local mountain.
A flat round wood plate that makes use of the beautiful wild cheery blossom wood (Sakura). Since it is firm, it is hard to be scratched and it would grow to a candy colour as it is used. It is the perfect material for everyday tools. This lovely plate can use for a tea set, a serving tray, or simply a dining plate.
The plate is carefully handmade by Japanese craftsmen.
