Tsukechi Zen plate, gently adds the warmth of wood to the table. Producing excellent wood from ancient times, the plate is made In Tetsuchi Town, Nakatsugawa City, Gifu Prefecture, Japan. The place is well known as the sacred tree village of the Ise Jingu Shrine and it's made of cherry blossom wood in the local mountain.
This product is a nice, clean, square shape wood plate made of the beautiful wild cherry blossom wood (Sakura). As the wood is firm, it is hard to be scratched and it would grow to a candy colour as it is being used. The wood tray is a perfect material for the everyday tool. This lovely plate can serve for tea setting or being a serving tray for cheese and charcuterie, or simply be a dining plate. The plate is carefully handmade by Japanese craftsmen. Made in Japan.
